Wahlfield Drilling Co is a family owned business that has been in operation for over 125 years (since 1890). We are a licensed, bonded, and insured company, and we are proud to have been one of the founding members of the Michigan Well Driller's Association in 1929!

The pictures above are from the same day in 1915. Charles and Ed Wahlfield are operating a cathead casing driver. The horse would walk in a circle (stepping over the cathead drive shaft each time it passed) to provide power to the cathead draw works.
